Drying is where a good harvest either levels up or gets butchered. The DryLab 5x5 Controlled Drying System Kit is a full tent-based drying station built around a PineLab 5x5 (1.5m x 1.5m) tent, VIVOSUN AeroZesh fan and filter kit, dehumidifier, humidifier, heater, smart controller, clip fans, and a 60cm drying rack. Everything you need to hold a stable 16-18°C and 58-62% RH from chop to jar.

Up to 20lb of wet harvest capacity, depending on flower density and rack loading. When you're not drying, drop in a grow light and the same tent doubles as a full grow space.

Controlled Environment Temperature, humidity, airflow and odour all managed inside a dedicated 1.5m x 1.5m tent. No more drying in a hot shed or random cupboard.
Up To 20lb Wet Capacity Dramatically more drying room than benchtop dryers. Better airflow, better separation, no cramming flowers into a box.
Smart Monitoring & Control The VIVOSUN E42A controller ties fans, dehumidifier, humidifier and heater together for hands-off climate management.
Dry Now, Grow Later Not locked to drying. Add a grow light and the same tent becomes a full grow space. Dual-purpose by design.

Grow Guys Tip — The 60/60 Rule
  • Aim for roughly 60°F / 60% RH — for Celsius growers that's 16-18°C and 58-62% RH.
  • Too hot strips aroma, flavour and terpenes. Too humid invites mould.
  • Direct airflow on flowers overdries the outside before the inside stabilises. Use the clip fans for gentle circulation, not blasting.
  • A slower, more even dry beats a fast one every time.

How To Set It Up

1 Assemble the PineLab 5x5 tent in a stable indoor space. Avoid garages and sheds where ambient temperature swings 20°C+ between day and night unless you're pairing with AeroLush.
2 Hang both PineLab drying racks inside the tent — one above the other, leaving enough vertical clearance for airflow between layers. Use the gear board to mount the E42A controller, AeroDrain dehumidifier and AeroStream humidifier within cable reach.
3 Mount the AeroZesh S6 inline fan and carbon filter at the top of the tent. Connect the included ducting to the exhaust port. This pulls stale air and odour out while keeping fresh air moving through.
4 Clip the four AeroWave D4 clip fans around the tent frame. Point them across the racks, not directly at flowers. Gentle ambient circulation, not wind tunnel.
5 Plug the dehumidifier, humidifier, heater and AeroZesh into the E42A controller. Set your target band: 17°C and 60% RH is the safe starting point.
6 Load the racks with chopped material. Don't overpack — leave breathing space between branches or bud piles. Cramming kills the dry.
7 Check daily. Stems should snap rather than bend at around day 10-14. Then move into curing.

Recommended Add-Ons

DryLab handles the core drying environment. These two add-ons handle the edge cases — hot rooms, and turning the tent into a full grow space when you're between harvests.

Pairs Well With

FAQ

How much wet flower will the 5x5 DryLab actually hold?

Up to around 20lb of wet harvest weight, depending on flower density, trimming style, rack loading and how generously you space things out. Cramming the racks to hit the upper number kills airflow and slows the dry — pack them 70-80% of capacity for the cleanest result.

Can I use this tent for growing too?

Yes. The PineLab 5x5 is a full grow tent, not a dedicated drying box. Add a 5x5-rated grow light (the Hortivision 720W is matched for this footprint) and you've got a complete grow setup. Dry when you need to dry, grow when you're ready to grow.

Do I need the AeroLush AC add-on?

No — not for most indoor rooms with stable temperatures. Yes — if you're drying in a hot shed, garage, upstairs room, or through an Australian summer. AeroLush gives you active cooling so the kit can hold 16-18°C even when ambient is working against you. Worth the spend if heat is your biggest risk factor.

How long does a dry take in this setup?

Typically 10-14 days when held in the 16-18°C / 58-62% RH band. Stems should snap rather than bend when you're ready to move into curing. Faster dries are usually a sign the environment is running too hot or too dry — the slow finish is what protects aroma and terpenes.

Will the carbon filter actually contain the smell?

Yes. The AeroZesh S6 6" inline fan and carbon filter combo is sized for a 5x5 footprint and handles drying odour well when the filter is fresh. Replace the carbon every 12-18 months depending on how heavily you're running it.

Why four clip fans?

One in each corner gives even ambient circulation across the whole drying space with no stagnant pockets and no direct blast onto flowers. Less than four leaves dead zones; more than four turns the tent into a wind tunnel and overdries the outside.

Are the kit contents exactly as shown?

The component list above is what ships in the 5x5 DryLab kit. Product images are for illustration — final component colours, branding details or visual appearance may vary depending on supplier batch and availability. The function and spec stay the same.

Does this ship Australia-wide?

Yes — DryLab ships Australia-wide from our Invermay, Tasmania warehouse with free shipping.

4-stars: 'The Sun and the Moon' by Rebekah Faubion
Format: Kindle, Format: Kindle
I enjoyed reading The Lovers last year and was eager to read Rebekah’s new book, The Sun and the Moon. Gorgeous covers always draw me in, and both books have stunning designs. After reading the synopsis, I knew I would enjoy this one. I love stories where opposites attract and soulmates are destined to meet. I loved getting to know Cadence and Sydney as they met at their parents’ engagement party. Cadence doesn’t have a close relationship with her mother, but she tries to find out if her mom is up to no good. She meets Sydney, whose father is marrying Cadence’s mother. Sydney is curious about her father’s quick engagement and agrees to help Cadence uncover the truth and possibly stop the wedding. As they spend time together, their undeniable connection grows, suggesting their meeting was fate. I enjoyed this Sapphic Romance and its engaging storyline. The chemistry between Cadence and Sydney was enthralling. I understood both characters’ skepticism about their parents’ wedding. Cadence’s concerns about her mother felt clear, and while investigating, she also becomes protective when it comes to her mother’s business. I understood Sydney, too, who simply wants to protect her father, whom she admires. Both struggle with their parents getting married at first, but ultimately become closer to each other and their parents as truths are revealed. The book focuses heavily on Cadence’s mother, sometimes overshadowing other elements. Still, I enjoyed the soulmates storyline between Cadence and Sydney. Overall, this book earns four stars from me, and I look forward to reading more by Rebekah Faubion. Single/Dual POV: Dual POV. Would I recommend this book? Yes. If you like Sapphic Romance with two FMCs who are opposites and destined to meet, I definitely recommend The Sun and The Moon. What to Expect: ✓Sapphic Romance ✓Opposites Attract ✓One Bed ✓Soulmates

Not for me
Format: Kindle
🔆Bookish Thoughts This one just didn’t work for me. I really struggled to connect with either of the FMCs, and I found the pacing incredibly slow. So much of the story focused on Cadence’s complicated relationship with her mom, and it became repetitive fast. I also had a hard time getting into the romance. The “destined to be together” angle felt forced, and there was a lot more internal monologue than actual connection on the page. And both Cadence and Sydney seemed emotionally immature. Honestly, I didn't like either FMC. The premise was really cute, but I think I was expecting more of a romcom vibe, especially with the whole reverse Parent Trap setup. But it ended up feeling dry, and I found myself tuning out and just not that interested. That said, if you’re into slow burns with a lot of emotional processing, this might be more your thing. 📅 Pub Date: August 12, 2025 Thank you to Berkley Publishing Group and NetGalley for the advanced copy. All thoughts are my own.

Cadence + Sydney
Format: Kindle
This book was so good. No flaws, I’m obsessed. The scheming parents, the family drama, the “forbidden” romance. All of it had me grasping for more. I love a good sapphic romance and this book did NOT disappoint!! The premise of this story was so compelling and I really felt for the main characters in their personal self-discovery journey as well as their familial relationship journey. It is pretty insta-love, but the background and actual plot make it so worth it. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a sapphic romance with a little magical twist to it!

It truly is the most Essential Guide
Format: Paperback
I've worked as a professional comic book letterer for more than a decade. I've had to learn a lot through trial and error since there was so little written about this technical field of work. Finally, there is now a book for amateur letterers to have all they need to understand the craft and for professional letterers to both reference and pick up new ideas from. This book isn't just a tutorial on "how to letter comics." This also showcases creative ways to letter, interesting techniques that even experienced letterers might not know about, and - what I found to be the most helpful - the realities of a letterer's freelance life and ways the write had worked to develop a good workflow and healthy work schedule to avoid burnout or physical strain. This is an engaging book, so even if you know how to letter well or you know nothing about lettering and want to understand the kind of work that letterers do, I highly recommend this as a great read. Through my experience, I developed very different methods than what this guide described, but both are valid and I even picked up new ideas and tried out new ways of doing things while reading this book. If you want to learn how to letter, buy this book. If you want to be a better letterer, buy this book. If you don't want to letter but you want to know more about how comics are made or how one freelances in this industry, this guide is great for that too. The only thing missing is a thorough explanation on how to develop one's own comic book fonts, but like the author said, that would take up an entire book in itself. Here's hoping one day there's a companion guide to comic book font creation, because I would love to learn more about that too.
